SCHOOL AGE CHILDCARE
Bethany School Age Care has served the community since 1990.
The center cares for children ages 3 years to fourth grade. It is a state licensed facility that participates in the Keystone Stars Program. In 2000, it received the highest rating of four stars. It's the longevity in the childcare field, along with its well-educated staff that makes Bethany School Age Childcare stand out in the community.

What schools do you serve?
We serve Fulton and Highland Elementary within the Ephrata Area School District.
Are you open on days the schools are closed?
Yes, unless it is a major holiday. We offer care all day long for Kindergarten to 4th Grade.
What curriculum do you use?
We use Experience Learning formally known as Mother Goose Time for our preschool-aged students. You can find out more information about it at www.mothergoosetime.com.
We plan activities for all students in our care that target the development of age-appropriate skills as outlined in the PA state educational standards.
What is included in the cost of tuition?
The cost of tuition covers the daily care of your child between the hours of 6:30am and 5:30pm.
It also covers breakfast (if your child(ren) arrives prior to 8am) and an afternoon snack.
Parents are expected to provide lunch for their child(ren).
Do you take ERLC/CCIS families?
Yes, we work with the ERLC and accept families that have assistance through the ERLC.
How can I keep track of my child’s daily activities?
We use an App called Brightwheel to post updates in real time that you can track using your smart
devices.
You can also use Brightwheel to communicate with your child(ren)’s teachers and directors.
What qualifications and/or certifications do your staff members have?
All our staff have all the clearances as required by the Department of Human Services.
They receive regular training in CPR/first aid, fire safety and emergency preparedness.
Many of our staff members either have a Child Development Associate Certificate, an associate degree, or a bachelor's degree in education.
